Scary Guy is a motivational speaker who’s mission is to eliminate hate, violence and prejudice worldwide.  Scary has worked with over 7 million people around the world promoting peace through the teaching of Love and Acceptance of all people. His audience consists of both youth and adults on an individual, community and society level, unaware of how they are using negative energy to meet their needs.

The Scary Guy contends that prejudice of any kind undermines the very strength of every person’s right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by all citizens, regardless of their race, religion, or country of origin. His core, underlying message is that prejudice and its ill effects on the World’s Community must be combated by every means possible – without becoming negative in the process of achieving this, either on an individual, community or global level.

Sonny is probably best known for his smash hit with none other then Fat Boy Slim which he played on the night to the crowd at The Purple Lounge.

Once again the organisers were really happy with the end result and ultimately the public could hear everything that the board members and presenters had to report.

Lisa found out she had cancer when she was pregnant with her youngest daughter Sienna in 2006, however she was unable to start treatment whilst being pregnant, which prolonged her suffering. The doctors tried Radiotherapy, but this was unsuccessful, so Lisa was put on chemotherapy. As the doses were so strong, she was unable to get out of bed most days, meaning Leanne, her eldest daughter, had to step in and care for her siblings. Lisa did not want Leanne to neglect her studies and wanted her to have a normal life as a teenager; however Lisa’s illness deteriorated and Leanne therefore chose to leave College to look after her mother and her family. Lisa fought her illness for two and half long years, even attempting to do the Race for Life with her friends, however she was too ill to participate on the day, but ensured her friends and family ran the race to raise money for the illness she shared with others. Unfortunately soon after this the cancer spread to her brain, and she could not fight any longer. Sadly she lost her battle on 15th September 2008 leaving her children behind.

Leanne, her eldest daughter now 21 years old, describes her mother as her best friend. She would do anything for anyone and often took in people who needed a place to stay. She was devoted to her family and would light up any room she entered. Leanne sees her as an inspiration as do her friends. The toughest challenge for Leanne now, is to raise her siblings as best she can being so young herself, but endeavours to raise them the way her mother would have wanted. Leanne also now looks after her Grandfather who is also having treatment for cancer.  What upset Lisa the most, was not the illness, but the worry that her youngest daughters would not remember her, or may only remember her when she was in suffering. She was a proud person and hid her pain from those closest most of the time, trying to ensure they saw her at her best.

When Lisa passed away, the family had no finances to provide a headstone for her grave, something that has bothered Leanne for the past 3 years, so we have decided to host a Winter Wonderland in December, in memory of Lisa to raise money for a head stone to be placed at Lisa’s graveside. Leanne has given everything into raising her siblings and we feel they need something to remember their mother by. By ensuring a head stone is placed at Lisa’s grave, her youngest daughters will have a place to visit their mother and share their memories of her. We will also be donating some proceeds to Cancer Research UK. Lisa loved Christmas time and welcomed everyone to her house over this period, providing for all she could. This time of year truly lightened up Lisa’s life and she ensured her family had a fun time. By holding this event, we feel her friends and family will be closer to Lisa again, but also gives the community an opportunity to have a fun family day out.

We were more than happy to provide a full mood lighting setup to highlight the entire room and Christmas trees that had been setup around the room. We received a very kind email from the organiser Mike which reads:
