We were approached this year by a local school to replace their old school hall lighting system during the 6 weeks holiday. The brief was to supply and install lighting equipment which would enable the school to make good use of their current stock of conventional fixtures whilst allowing expansion for new LED and moving light fixtures; this combined with an easy to use and flexible patching system so that the students could be more involved with the set-up of the equipment. After initial consultation and guidance we come up with a suitable, flexible, future proof system which suited the needs of the school.
Lighting Equipment Installation
The following equipment was selected and installed, 7x Custom made lighting bars with 15 amp outputs, 16 amp hard mains output and DMX output; 24-way of Zero 88 dimming and 2x patch panels with engraved plugs. Various DMX outputs around the stage area as well as hard mains sockets from the new rack. We also installed a new fused electrical feed for all the new equipment bringing the school up to date with current electrical standards. After the installation was complete the in house theatre technician sent us a very kind message which read:
“I just want to say we are over the moon with our new lighting install on Stage. From start to finish the service and work carried out by your team has been fantastic. We now have a very versatile rig, allowing us to be a lot more creative with the events and shows that we do involving our in house lighting system. On behalf of myself and my colleagues at the school we would like to thank you and your team for all the hard work and support during this project and we look forward to working closely with you in the future.”
