Intimate Wedding Venue
The Old Parish Rooms, Rayleigh is suitable for all types of events. It is ideally suited as an intimate wedding venue. Holding up to 100 guests across a unique mezzanine setup, The Old Parish Rooms is a rustic yet elegant place to get married.
We were approached by the venues recommended wedding DJs Fox and Braces. Based just 7 miles from the venue. Dave and Dan from Fox and Braces are 5 star reviewed DJs and are recommended at wedding venues across Essex, Suffolk and Kent. These guys know good quality sound, and that's why they reached out to us to install a high quality system in the venue.
Design and Specification
Fox and Braces were looking for a high quality system. The sound system had to be capable of reproducing the level and energy needed for a great party. They were not just looking for loud. The sound had to be full and clean and provide the impact needed. We spent some time on site going through the quality and power requirements of a system but also understanding the noise restriction issues.
The venue needed to have two input connection points. One upstairs for the DJs to plug in as well as on the ground floor, behind the bar. This meant that the bar staff could play background music or ceremony music during the day and switch over to the DJs in the evening.
We recommended a system comprising of four Void Venu 8 V2 speakers coupled with a Venu 212 double 12" subwoofer. The speakers would be powered by Yamaha power amplifiers and signal switching controlled by a Cloud electronics mixer. We also added a Formula Sound noise limiter to be used as a soft limiter on the input signal. We only install top quality brands and this installation was no different.
The Result
The Void Acoustics speakers not only allow for great sound reproduction. They are also incredibly discrete and smart. The white speakers are very unobtrusive and blend right into the decor.
We installed the complete sound system in just one day and came back with the DJs to tune the sound system and set the limiters. This was set so that any DJ could come into the venue and plug into the sound system. They will be able to use the sound system, limiting potential damage and any noise complaints.
The venue have already had a number of compliments on the quality of the new sound system install.
